Welcome to Fearless Equality! Equality is something that a lot of people don’t have, but want for themselves and the people in their lives. You may look at me and wonder what credentials I have to understand what it is like to be stereotyped and discriminated against. The fact is, I have two disabilities. The one that I was diagnosed first with is Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia (DVD) and the other is Hypermobility Syndrome. Living with hidden disabilities has meant that, people who do not understand them have high expectations of me and I seem to make it a habit to disappoint these people, or I am labeled as stupid, lazy and sometimes dangerous from the begining to those who refuse to understand. However, I have been fortunate enough to have a supportive network at home and at work, which has allowed me to better understand my difficulties and how I can pursue what I want with these difficulties. I am hoping that this blog will become a safe place for others to find the support and to follow their own dreams.
I look forward to hearing from you.
